Do you have a print catalogue? Do you have a print catalogue? Not at the moment. We're concerned about keeping our costs low so we can offer you the finest quality at the best possible prices. Right now, the least expensive method is to offer an online-only catalogue. We may consider offering a print catalogue in the future, though. Our policy is simple: If an item is broken when you receive it, or does not fit properly, send it back to
us and we will do our best to repair, resize or otherwise make the product right at no extra charge. Please
contact us through email first, and we'll discuss the things we can do
for you. We purchase our fabric from a variety of sources, and can thus create items in a very wide variety of colors. If you're trying to match a specific color, let us know what you're looking for and provide a sample swatch, if possible. We'll do our best to match it. I am a reseller; can I buy wholesale from you? Since nearly all the items we sell are created in-house by our artisans, we are able to offer them at prices only a small fraction over our basic costs. If you shop around, you will find our retail prices are comparable to wholesale costs at other companies. Sorry, no. We try to keep our everyday prices comparable to wholesale costs elsewhere (see above), so
the items on our Web site are not subject to haggling. (We do have families to feed.) Before you write
to tell us this or that item is too costly, please compare our prices with those of other dealers. You might change your mind. Several of our customers have approached us about plus-sized items. We're happy to report that we can create robes, cloaks, chemises, tunics and tabards in large sizes, and are working on offering other plus-sized items in the near future. Because of the additional materials and time involved in making sure the item fits you properly, these plus-sized items will be a little more costly than the advertised prices in the catalogue. However, we believe you will find the high quality and proper fit to be well worth the price. If you have specific questions about fit, please email us for more information. How do I care for my replica clothing? Our replica items are constructed from many different fabrics; the majority are not meant to be tossed into the washer and dryer. For this reason, we strongly recommend our clothing be professionally dry-cleaned. This will ensure the longest possible life for your replica garment. Generally speaking, we use cottons or poly-cotton fabrics in twills, crepes and canvases. The leather we use for our belts and belt pouches, leather armour, etc., is hand-selected by Beorn for quality. We also do use some rayons and acetates for proper drape and presentation, which is why we strongly encourage you to have your replica clothing professionally dry-cleaned. If you're looking for a period-accurate costume in 100% cotton, linen, silk, etc., we can create it for you at an additional cost. I'm not in the United States. How do I order? Currently our order form is set up for orders to be shipped to the U.S. and Canada. (Please be advised that all border duties, GST and other provincial taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.) Other international orders are handled on a case-by-case basis. Email us and we'll see what we can do for you. How do I pay you when I order? You can order most items with just a click via PayPal. We also accept U.S. money orders and personal checks drawn on a U.S. bank. International money orders are also accepted, as long as they are in U.S. funds. Once I've sent payment, how long will it be until I receive my order? Since we craft many items based on your specifications, our average turnaround time is 6 to 8 weeks from the time we receive your order; during particularly busy times of the year, it may take up to 12 weeks. I need this item right away. Will you send it to me overnight mail? That depends. Please email us with information about what you want, and we'll see what we can do. OK, I got my order, but what's with the funky packaging? We strongly believe in keeping the cost of your purchase low by recycling firsthand whenever possible; thus our orders sometimes ship in oddball packages. All our recycled packaging is inspected carefully to make sure it is sturdy and will go through the mail. I'm looking for a (insert item of choice here) and it isn't on your page. Will you make one for me? Email us and let us know what you want. We'd be more than happy to give it a shot. If we are unable to make your item, we'll do our best to find another maker who can create it for you. I found this item at another business / Web page. Will you make one for me? Again, that depends. I usually can, BUT it is a lengthy process and it won't necessarily be cheaper. I will have to check laws to make sure I'm not infringing on anyone's copyright, make the template, purchase the supplies, create the item, figure in the cost of labor, etc. By the time all is said and done, you may be better off purchasing from the original maker. However, if you do have a request, please ask me and I'll try to get you an estimate. |
